Aviation training center inaugurated
Cambodia’s first Civil Aviation Training Center, with funding from South Korea, was officially inaugurated on March 22 and already plans to receive 274 trainees for its 14 training courses. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mao Havannall, a secretary of state at the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, said the center was created to contribute to the development of the aviation sector and to transfer knowledge and experience to aviation officials. He added that it specifically provides advanced job training programs in the field of civil aviation. According to a brief report read by Mr. Havannall, 29 SSCA officials were sent to South Korea in 2015 to take training courses on air traffic control, navigational aids, aviation security and safety and airport operation.
